Program In Brief
  • The Hosting Rotary Club provides a monthly allowance of approximately $75US dollars. The Host Family provides the food and lodging.
  • You are responsible for your airline ticket, application ($500) and insurance fees (up to $585.00), visas, passports, emergency fund of $300.00 (to be replenished throughout the year as used), cost of any travel or in some contries a year end trip during your exchange, school uniform if required, blue blazer, etc.
  • Your family agrees to personally host or provide an acceptable alternate host family for a student from another country for up to six months during your year abroad.
  • Each applicant must be sponsored by a local Rotary Club in  District 7450. The local club interviews the applicant and then send their application to the District Youth Exchange Committee to schedule a District interview.
  • Interviews are held October through March of every year.

Contact your local Rotary Club - click here to visit the Rotary District 7450 site and then on the Local Clubs link at the top of that page.  Clubs are based upon geographic location.  Choose the club nearest you and contact them about being an exchange student.
