Program In Brief
- Rotary’s Long-Term Exchange Program
presents an opportunity for you to advance your education, become a
better person, and contribute to world understanding by allowing you
to attend high school in a different country.
- Founded in 1929, about 8,600 students
from around the world now participate in this program each year. As
an unofficial ambassador for Rotary, your community and your country,
you will bring the world closer together while you’re making lifetime
friends.
- Each student is assigned a Rotary Club
Counselor from the hosting club, whom meets with the student on a regular
basis to ensure that the exchange is going smoothly.
- You will live for about 10 months with
host families in another country and attend school there. Our district
typically exchanges with over 40 countries.
- Consider being a Host. For every student
that goes ‘Out’, another comes ‘In’, so Host
families are needed here in the area.
- Because of the long-standing history of
the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, our exchange program is the largest
in the world. And because arrangements are made by local Rotarians both
here, and in your new home, it is also one of the safest and lowest
cost youth exchange programs in the world.
Yes, I am interested!
